Yeah, Fatty, don't you get it? It's /totally/ different.

Because…y'know, it's different.

Two things, followed by an observation that is completely irrelevant to the plot.

1) I've always hated it when I see anyone anywhere proclaiming that something's supposed to be different because of the context of the person who's in the situation. It would only serve to perpetuate the misnomer that everyone's special, as the school system so often will try to engrave into the minds of younger kids that they are. I'm glad that Spaz's elaboration wasn't "It just is!" that would be him trying to get away with the idea that different people in a situation like that cause different circumstances, instead of the hint that forms my second thing.

2) I was going to make a comment on 190 — a pseudo-psychoanalytical/psychoBABBLE speculation on how Muddy's reaction had some basis in how he's known her for so long that the idea of her having anything that would suggest that she isn't innocent doesn't register as logical for him and he would want to object to something that did. I decided to not bother putting it in. Partially because my browser kept discarding it when it quit and partially because I felt like I'd be wrong.

By Muddy saying "Because you aren't…" it actually shows that there was some grounds in my thinking. He does, in fact, feel that she is little more than the same little, innocent girl he met when he was *age* but now in a teenager's body.

On top of that, but even more likely to be a wildly incorrect assumption, in your typical situation where two longtime friends have difficulty approaching the topic of relationships with others because of this problem, if it's a guy and a girl, the guy generally feels a subconscious need to — what he will say is protect the girl from getting hurt — protect the image of the girl when she was nice and sweet and innocent.

It all kinda smacks of the guy either having a weaker psyche than most or being not ready for the time in his life when he needs to grow up. In Spaz's case, I'd say it's both.

Observation: Probably the most noticeable thing for me about the last few pages is how if you look at the top two panels…

That's supposed to be a side seat on the bus, right? Even overlapping as much as it can in the middle, that's gotta be the largest bus seat I've ever seen in the universe, considering that for one, they can turn to face each other with a distance between them large enough for at least two bags and, for two, the window isn't present on Muddy's side yet.

Actually; second observation. I like six panels per update. A nice length.
